Resumo

Artificial intelligence is transforming society, and the field of administration of justice has been no exception. First, artificial intelligence can be used in the judicial process to automate routine and repetitive tasks, such as the analysis of legal documents and the review of case files. Through the use of algorithms and machine learning techniques, artificial intelligence systems can process large volumes of information quickly and accurately, saving time and resources for legal professionals. In addition, these systems can identify patterns and trends in the data, which can be useful for predicting outcomes or detecting possible irregularities in cases. On the other hand, artificial intelligence can also facilitate access to justice. In many cases, people face barriers to accessing the justice system due to lack of financial resources or legal knowledge. However, it is important to consider that the implementation of artificial intelligence in the administration of justice also raises Human Rights and brigs challenges and ethical considerations. This paper analyses how artificial intelligence is being used in the process in various countries around the world: China: China's justice system is one of the most advanced in terms of the use of AI. For example, the Supreme People's Court of China has developed an AI system that allows for the automatic review of judgments and the identification of errors in judicial decisions. United States: Several courts in the United States use AI to analyse large amounts of data and improve the investigation and analysis of cases. There are also programmes that use AI for early detection of problems in contracts and legal documents. United Kingdom: The UK government has invested in AI programmes to improve efficiency and accuracy in the administration of justice, including identifying patterns and trends in past trials and improving decision-making in court proceedings. France: The French justice system uses AI to automate repetitive tasks and analyse large amounts of data in the review and analysis of court documents. Japan: The Japanese justice system uses AI programmes to analyse language and tone in the presentation of evidence and opinions in court proceedings, which helps improve understanding and aids decision-making. Brazil: Brazil uses AI to analyse data related to crimes and offences, as well as to identify trends and patterns in judicial decision-making. Canada: Several courts in Canada use AI software to analyse workload-related data, which helps improve efficiency in the administration of justice. Singapore: Singapore uses AI to automate tasks such as legal document review and docket organisation, which helps improve efficiency.
